As regular readers already know, at ESTELA we like a theme, and this edition is no different. This time, we have taken our inspiration from the world’s oldest travel story, Homer’s Odyssey.
Odysseus’ travels brought him from victory in the Trojan War, on the Turkish bank of the Dardanelles strait, linking the Aegean Sea with the Sea of Marmara, to Ithaca. However, our hero’s circuitous route took him ten years, having incurred the wrath of sea god, Poseidon. At every step, he and his men were derailed by brutal storms, whirlpools, cannibals, monsters, and even nymphs!
As is customary, to introduce the book and its theme, we’ve created a short film to whet your appetite. So, before you delve into the guide, sit back and watch its stars act out the story in this zany caper. Enjoy!
