⚠️ ATTENTION CREW!!! New procedure in Mallorca ⚠️

December 18, 2025

From last 18 November 2025, all crew members whose passport has not been issued by a country of the European Union must personally attend the border control post to regularize their entry and exit under the new EES (Entry Exit System).

This means that the previous practice of submitting documentation only is no longer sufficient.
Beginning next Tuesday, 18 November, crew must come in person to complete the embarkation and disembarkation process.
In other words:

    • If you need a short-stay visa to enter the EEA → You must attend

    • If you do not need a short-stay visa to enter the EEA → You must attend

But don’t stress! At ESTELA we will pick you up directly from the vessel and accompany you throughout the entire process!

Exempt from this new requirement (EES not applicable):

Crew holding passports from:
Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, and San Marino.

Please note that crew members who require a visa must continue following the standard visa procedure, which remains unchanged.

Important Immigration Update – Biometric Passports
According to the latest updates provided by the Palma Port Office, as of April 2026, passports without a biometric chip will no longer be accepted for embarking and disembarking from the yacht.
We strongly recommend that all crew members who do not yet have a biometric passport plan ahead and apply for a renewal to ensure their passport includes the required chip.
As always, for further information or immigration assistance, ESTELA is available to help.
